SC Teachers Participate in STEM Graduate Course

The Institute on Energy, Economics and the Environment: a STEM Graduate Course is halfway through for the summer. Nineteen teachers are enrolled in the three hour graduate credit course offered through the University of South Carolina. During the first week, the teachers had a week long intensive program at USC which included two field trips-VC Summer Nuclear Power Plant and the Richland County Landfill and Bio Gas Facility.

Topics of discussion for the class included US vs. German Electricity GenerationClean Energy Opportunities for South Carolina, and Developments in State and National Energy Policy.
