York, S.C. — York Electric Cooperative CEO Paul Basha awards an Amazon Kindle Fire HDX tablet to Debbie Threatt, a high school teacher and the winner of the spring prize drawing in the co-ops’ EnlightenSC™ energy education program.
Threatt, a Rock Hill resident and special education teacher at Lancaster High School for the past 26 years, attended YEC’s March 8 EnlightenSC™ workshop. Her name was entered in the drawing for the high definition tablet when two fellow teachers listed her as the person who recruited them to attend a spring workshop.
Another round of the one-day workshops takes place in the fall, and teachers will again have an opportunity to win a prize drawing by referring colleagues to the events.
