Carla Livingston is the winner of an Amazon Kindle Fire HDX table from EnlightenSC.

A Prosperity resident and 3rd grade teacher at Boundary Street Elementary in Newberry, Livingston’s name was entered in a random drawing after three of her fellow teachers indicated that she recruited them to attend the October 11 EnlightenSC workshop at Newberry Electric.  Livingston also attended the workshop.

South Carolina electric co-ops will host another series of EnlightenSC workshops in 2015.  The free half-day events offer teachers across the state an opportunity to learn how to use resources on the EnlightenSC.org website to add fun and interesting energy-related lessons and activities to their classrooms, all aligned with state education standards for science, technology, engineering and math – the so-called STEM subjects. Teachers also receive credit renewal points that count toward state recertification.  Dates for the 2015 workshops will be posted on EnlightenSC.org early in the new year.
