Parents and educators of 4th and 5th grade students in South Carolina can now register for the 2024-25 Children’s Book Challenge.
Sponsored by South Carolina’s electric cooperatives, the Children’s Book Challenge is a great way to engage your students with a cross-curricular project focused on energy education that also correlates to many South Carolina state standards. This writing project directly connects to Art, ELA, Science, Technology, and Social Studies.
All fourth and fifth-grade students (public, private or homeschooled) in South Carolina are invited to write and illustrate a children’s book about our electric cooperatives. Winning entries and their teachers will be awarded cash prizes as well as an opportunity to have their books published!
Students can use the online platform StoryJumper or use blank paper books provided by their local electric cooperative.
